Accessibility
Accessibility at Hotel Kakola
Built in 1890, the Hotel Kakola building served as a prison until 2007, which means that the building is being protected by the Finnish Heritage Agency (Museovirasto). We have taken accessibility into account in our day-to-day actions in the best way possible. The original usage as well as the protection of the Finnish Heritage Agency means that there are inconsistencies in terms of accessibility in both our banquet and conference spaces and room types.
Arriving at the hotel/parking
On the inside yard of the hotel, next to the main entrance, we have two disabled parking spaces. Moving left from the main entrance, there is a ramp that leads to the restaurant Ruben, which also has door opener button. The door is open in accordance with the opening hours of the restaurant. At other times the door is opened upon request.
The distance from the main doors to the hotel's accessible entrance is 40 meters.
