General booking terms

These terms apply in all respects to individual room bookings made by private customers unless otherwise specified in the booking conditions. Group bookings are subject to different conditions regarding cancellations and payments.

Booking and booking confirmation:
A room reservation can only be made by a person who is 18 years of age or older. When making a reservation, you should provide your name, email address, phone number and residential address. The reservation binds the hotel when it has been confirmed orally or in writing, and the booker has received a reservation confirmation or reservation number. The hotel may set various rules as a condition of the reservation, such as payment of a booking fee.

Check-in and check-out at the hotel:
The reserved room is available from 3:00 PM on the day of arrival and must be vacated by noon on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed. When checking in, you must present a valid ID.

Cancellation of reservation and no-show:
The cancellation conditions depend on the type of reservation. If the reservation follows the normal cancellation conditions, free cancellation is possible up to 24 hours before the reservation. If a reservation is not cancelled in advance or if the reservation is not used at all, the hotel has the right to charge the price for one night, including taxes, and any other confirmed additional services.

Early departure:
If you plan to depart earlier than agreed, you must inform the hotel reception the day before departure before 6:00 PM. Depending on the circumstances, the original agreed price for the entire reservation may be charged for any unused time.

Payments:
Hotel Kakola accepts major bank and credit cards. If the reservation has not been pre-paid, it must be paid upon arrival at the hotel. Accommodation cannot be paid in cash.

Accommodation of minors:
A room reservation can only be made by an adult. If you make a room reservation for a minor, you are responsible for this individual and the room you have booked, whether you stay with the minor or not. If you make a reservation for a minor, the minor must have a completed certificate for accommodation of minors with them upon arrival. You will receive a form template to be filled out by e-mail upon request.

House rules and customer liability for damage:
At Hotel Kakola, guests are expected to observe good manners and comply with general house rules. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel, including balconies. A separate cleaning fee will be charged for violations of the smoking policy. If house rules are violated or a guest’s behavior disturbs other guests or hotel staff, the hotel reserves the right to remove the guest from the premises immediately. In such cases, the guest is not entitled to any refund for room reservations or other services.

The guest is liable for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence by themselves, their guests, or their pets to the hotel room, other hotel facilities, other guests, or their property. Liability for damages is determined in accordance with applicable liability laws.
