There are several different tours where you get to know the fascinating history of Kakola. The tour calendar is updated regularly, and you can also submit your wishes about the time of the tour to the address kierrokset@kakola.fi.Please note that the tours are in Finnish unless otherwise stated.
There is no need to reserve tickets for the tours in advance. Tickets are bought at Hotel Kakola.

County prison tour
Lääninvankilan kierroksella On the tour of the county prison, you will get to know Hotel Kakola's prison past. The tour lasts an hour and is only indoors. Due to the wild stories, this tour is not recommended for small children (recommended age 12).Please note that the tours are in Finnish unless otherwise stated.

Kakola walk for the whole family
The Kakola walk for the whole family takes you around Kakola's courtyard, hears about the daily life of the prison and sees the most exciting escapes. The hour's rounds of stories are aimed at children and they are outside the whole time, children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.Please note that the tours are in Finnish unless otherwise stated.

Kakolanmäki tour
On the Kakolanmäki tour, we first go around outside to get to know the former prison buildings and see the most exciting escapes of all time. After that, we will move to the interior, where we will see a slide show of the cell premises and hear stories about the colorful everyday life of the Kakola kunds. This 2-hour tour does not visit the cell premises. Due to the wild stories, this tour is not recommended for small children (recommended age 12).Please note that the tours are in Finnish unless otherwise stated.
